Best Philippine Summer TV Commercial: Nestea Novu 2

If VisitPinas is giving an award for TV commercials (who knows, in the future) for Philippine Summer (2012), we already have a winner at this point. It’s the Nestea Philippines TV commercial, dubbed Nuvo 2 (if we may add, we are not connected with Nestea in any way, and we are not paid for this). The Manor at Camp John Hay, Baguio City

They say the early bird gets the worm. True. But there’s more. Those who rise early get to discover that this early, the first week of November, there’s fog in Metro Manila. Yes, fog, not smog. A truly wonderful sight. It’s so beautiful (well, at least for those with roof over their heads), with the blinking red light on top of the nearby cellsite greatly muted and dispersed. It’s like being in Baguio City. Except nothing really substitutes for Baguio. Continue reading The Manor at Camp John Hay, Baguio City

Laiya Coco Grove (San Juan, Batangas)

Saturday. Continue reading Summer Getaway at Laiya, Batangas

Montevista Villas (Mimosa Leisure Estate, Clarkfield, Pampanga)

There was plenty of space to park and move around, maybe because we got there when the rest of those who spent their Holy Week vacation are on their way back to Metro Manila. The place, with huge trees generously dotting the entire landscape, is a welcome breather from the suffocating pollution in Metro Manila. Brown leaves of Mahogany, occasionally punctuated by twirling seeds, fall to the ground, sometimes gently hitting the windshield as you drive by. This is summer in Montevista Villas (Mimosa Leisure Estate, Clarkfield, Pampanga). Continue reading Montevista Villas (Mimosa Leisure Estate, Clarkfield, Pampanga)
