Malacanang has declared 30 August 2011 (Tuesday) as a national non-working holiday (Proclamation 234). This is another occurrence of a rare long weekend among the 2011 Philippine holidays under the administration of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, a clear shift from the holiday economics under the previous administration. That means we’ll have a four-day long weekend, August 27-30, 2011 because August 29 (Monday) is also a national holiday.
The holiday in August 30, 2011 is in observance of the last day of Ramadan, also called Eid ul-Fitr or Eid’l Fitr. August 29, 2011 (Monday) is National Heroes Day. To the drawing board to plan a long-deserved vacation. Any suggestion?

Hooooray!
