“Not fastfood”, we noticed the neon sign as we left Bigg’s Diner. Whether it’s fastfood is a non-issue for us. The biggest issue we had to resolve before entering a Bigg’s Diner outlet is this — why on earth are we eating in a fastfood chain, er, good food chain, when we were supposed to try the local food?

Well, one, we haven’t tried this one and we don’t know if we’ll have another chance to come back and try it. Seize the day, the cliche goes. Second, how can we resist when the poster for the Crispy Chicken dares other chicken restaurants/chains with this tagline: “Nobody beats our time-proven old fashioned recipe.”
