No, Eastwood City isn’t a real city, as compared to, say, Quezon City where it’s found. It’s a name just like Star City, but Eastwood City is a place that combines fun, entertainment, business and residential space.
It’s very rare that I visit Eastwood. When I do visit the place, there are 3 places that I frequent — Jack’s Loft, A Different Bookstore and Starbucks. When you get the change to visit Jack’s Loft, I highly recommend beef stroganoff.
How to get there? It’s found along E. Rodriguez, Jr. Avenue (C5), Bagumbayan, Quezon City. If you’re coming from the area surrounding the UP Campus, take Katipunan Avenue towards the direction of White Plains subdivision, then take the tunnel. If you’re coming from Makati, one way is to turn left after Corinthian Gardens (at the end: best to turn right then straight until the Meralco gate, then turn left towards Christ the King Church; or turn left along White Plains subdivision, then turn right at the traffic light). for the “common” tao” or masa, i recommend the Marikina River Park, it’s a beautiful clean long park that everyone can enjoy. The food in the surrounding area is cheap and clean and for a few walks you;ll see SM Marikina if the Rivermall is not enough for you.
I would like to inform you that Eastwood City is located NOT in LIBIS but in BAGUMBAYAN, QUEZON CITY. Resolution No. 0011-S,2008 directs all establishments in Eastwood City to use in all their signages, posters, letterheads, correspondences, receipts, implements and other paraphernalia BAGUMBAYAN and not Libis. The use of Libis creates confusion and deprived BAGUMBAYAN of the recognition and respect it deserves. Establishments in the territorial jurisdiction of BAGUMBAYAN enjoys the peace, security, sanitation and other basic services and benefits provided by Barangay Bagumbayan and NOT by Libis.

Now, now….that Is a very smart area indeed! That country is “getting there” after all. You know, 21st century amenities, state-of-the-art facilities. If we can have this kind of facility up and down the country, then why should Pinoys have to consider going abroad? I for one, might just choose to live in this area someday, when I go back home for good. I believe that Quezon city has a fine metro system. That works for me! Mabuhay!
Hill, Quezon City is indeed a fine place to stay. Part of the success could be attributed, in my humble opinion, to Mayor Sonny Belmonte and his team (I’m not a registered voter of QC, though). Unfortunately, his 3 terms would end in 2010 — something which gives flesh to the saying that a 3-term limit is too long for a bad leader, but too short for a good one. Anyway, hopefully the growth of QC will continue in the years to come.
i agree, maganda ang eastwood city. caring yes, sa customers not to their TENANTS!!!! mind you 1 lng ang cr for all tenants sa eastwood mall. located pa sa fourth floor!!! biruin nyo isang isa 3 cubicle 1 out of order and isa baha ang flooring!!! anong klase yang binibigay nla? Kumbaga panlabas lng na anyo ang pinapaganganda nla. Tenants do comply with the mall requirements such as health and sanitary permits pero cla mismo, ung gnagawa nla magkakasakit ang mga tenants. Say, 1 tenant merong 1 hr break,,, for goodness!!! sa pagpila pa lng nauubos na ang oras na dapat ipinapahinga ng tao!!! We’ve brought this already to the management esp to Shiela Salamnca,,, dunno why until now same old problem pden!!! we cannot even use the customer’s CR. we are not after the tissue nor the handsoap, ang gusto namin malinis maayos walang pilang cr para sa tenant!!!
