Let’s Travel for Free and Grab the P500,000 from Mo, Mojo and Grace Lee

Want to travel for free? A brilliant thought that would benefit everyone came to mind while I was taking a dump a while ago. Ok, it may not be brilliant and it may not benefit everyone, but it could send the most number of people — as long as P500,000 would be enough — to spend a vacation in some great Philippine destination.

We’ll hit, not just two, but a flock of birds with one stone. We promote Philippine travel. You get to travel, for free. We promote a show. And win at the same time. Everybody wins (ok, only those covered by P500,000). Here’s the show I’m talking about — Good Times with Mo, Mojo and Grace Lee.

They call it The KSP Challenge — anyone who could most shamelessly promote the show would win P500,000. We’re facing stiff competition, folks. But we have a simple plan and this requires the help of everyone:

1. If we, and I mean the top people who would help in getting that money, WIN we all would get to spend a vacation, for two (so you could bring a friend or significant other along).

2. To get considered by the show (Mo, Mojo and Grace Lee), let’s spread the word as wide as possible. If you have a blog or anything in the net that you could write on (facebook, twitter, multiply, friendster even), get this code and paste it somewhere (as long as the photo and the link is there). It must be visible so people (incuding Mo, Mojo and Grace Lee) could see it. I figure the more we spread the word, we increase our chances of grabbing the P500,000.

3. We’ll track who has the most number of invited friends. Since we’re ordinary non-techie people, let’s have a simple way of tracking your invites. Go back here and post the link to your invited friend at the comment section below (the photo, using the code found below, must appear on their sites as well). Use the same name and email address when making a comment, so the number of invites could be attributed to you.

4. In the meantime, we’ll receive all suggestions where to spend that vacation (must be in the Philippines). A more expensive vacation would mean lesser people could go (of course, I’m included in that list because I thought of this =).

5. If we all win the P500,000, we’ll divide the ENTIRE amount with the total cost for the chosen destination. For instance, if that’s enough only for 20 people (plus 20 companions), then we’ll only pick the top 20 people who invited the most number of friends (and posted the link in the comment section below).

Fair enough? Here’s the code (copy from <a to a> signs). Post this as html in your blog (this post is an example, plus the upper-right side of this blog). Change the width or height to best suit your blog.

If the code won’t work, and I have a feeling it won’t, you know how to post this at your blog. If you know how to insert a photo and a link in your blog, you should be fine. Why need the photo? Because it promotes Good Times, which is the whole point of this exercise. Why need a link? Because we need to centralize and coordinate our efforts here. Strength in numbers, my dear.

Where’s the fun in this? How could this be remotely interesting? I know. Even my wife asked me that question. If I were a caller, Mo Twister would hang up on me (or pretend to discuss some lengthy topic in the hope that I’ll just drop the call). Hope springs eternal, love. We’ll think of something in the days to come. If we can’t think of something fast, the back-up plan is to have the interesting part after winning — remember this is a big bunch of people traveling to some nice destination, with cameras and all. Why wouldn’t that be interesting?

So let’s start the ball rolling. We have little time left. (Please also use the comment section below if you have questions or suggestions. Since we’re amateurs, we figure that code may not work in some formats. And since this is a work in progress, we may make up some minor rules as we go along. Do tell us if you have better suggestions.)
