This fight is no longer for the books. Both fighters are deserving Hall of Fame materials. Manny Pacquaio is definitely the best pound for pound boxer in the world today. This one is to put closure to two previous matches between Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.
The first fight in 2004 resulted to a draw. The second fight in 2008 had Pacquiao on top by a split decision. My husband, one among the thousands of self-proclaimed boxing “experts”, wondered why Pacquaio won the second fight (with all due respect, he added). This time around, he said, seeing how Pacqauiao improved by leaps and bounds, particularly in technical skills and style, there’s no doubt that Marquez will lose. His fearless forecast? Pacquiao by TKO over JMM in 7 rounds (see update below). Why? Well, you ask him. I don’t want to ask and start a never-ending monologue why Pacquiao is this and why Marquez is that.

Update: Very close fight. 114-114, 116-112, 115-113, and Pacquiao still the world champion by majority decision. Gave us a scare, though, really thought Marquez won. Some think it should have been a tie, at most, for Pacquiao. Great fight. Let’s have Pacquiao-Marquez 4, or Pacquiao-Marquez 5, until someone gets a decisive win. =)

Pacquoiao lost the fight. Not on the scoring but on the effect. First time he got booed like that. The “undisputed” champion no longer applies. He can’t knock down a 38 year old Marquez. Pacman is not as good as before. Theres no way to go but down.
Tama ka Manny, nag-expect lang talaga kami na mas magaling ang performance mo. Hindi mo man lang napatumba si Marquez, muntik ka pa natalo. Pero hindi sana nangyari yun kung nagfocus ka lang. Hindi naman pwede lahat mapupunta sayo. Di pwede na Congressman ka at boxer, at mananatili ang galing mo sa pareho. Magdecide na po kayo kung alin talaga ang pagbubuhusan ng oras at puso. Parang si Michael Jordan, quit while you’re on top. Nakakatakot makitang bumagsak ka sa susunod mong laban . . .

No wonder why Manny Won the Fight over Juanma…1st Manny is the Champion….Manny is aggressive and never stop to send back what marquez jab to him….Dapat ang aggressive ay yong challenger pero ang ginawa ni Juanma ay hinihintay nya ang atake ni pacman….2nd kahit solid ang jab ni Marquez eh di naman nya napahinto c manny and kulang sya sa suntok oo malakas ang suntok nya pero sa statistic kapos sa point ang pinakawalan nyang suntok….kaya ang mga nagdududa na dapat talo si manny mag-aral muna ng rules and regulation ng boksing okay… kasi instead na proud tayong mga pinoy na nanalo c pacman parang tayo pa ang atat na matalo sya CRAB MENTALITY ba yan… as what i heard here in our place… pagbigyan daw ang iba hellllooooo….pride ng pinoy ang nakataya ibibgay natin sa iba…ISA PA JUDGE ANG NAGBIGAY NYAN NA EXPERT SA GANYAN LARANGAN….kung gusto nyo matalo si pacman KAYO NA ANG MAGING JUDGE….
