The rainy season has long started. With it comes the typhoon season and, unfortunately, school time (why don’t they move the school year so that it won’t coincide with the rainy season?). If you merge rainy season, typhoon season and school, what do you get? No, it’s not a bad-smelling laundry. We’re referring to the limited time for kids to go out and enjoy outdoor fun. There are a number of reasons why parents bring their children to fun places. Places like Active Fun. One is the genuine desire to allow their children to have fun. Another is to have an excuse to go shopping, with the kids safely tucked in Active Fun. Still another is for a bargaining tool — if you behave I’ll bring you to Active Fun this weekend. I must confess that I’m no mall rat. I hate the congested parking area and the fact that they charge you for parking in order to buy something in their mall. I hate walking from one end to the other just to buy another item. I hate falling in line, a very long line, just to pay for a pair of socks. I always prefer a stand-alone establishment, where you can simply park in front, without parking fees, buy what you need, and go home in a flash. No sweat. Continue reading Mall of Asia →
