Mini Turon at Cafe Juanita
A recommended dessert at Cafe Juanita. It’s just like the regular turon, banana wrapped in lumpia wrapper and then fried, except that it’s smaller and is served with ice cream topped with chocolate. The sesame seeds, spread over the turon, give more texture to the bite. The soft crunch releases the caramelized sugar which coats the turon, leading to the little sliced banana inside. The surprise is the wild buzz of flavor emerging after chewing - mild ginger. Sounds way off, but the mix tastes absolutely great. Rate (above) and review (below) this entry.
