1. Reviewing and rating an entry.

The idea behind the Community is for members who have experienced an item or subject on review to share their experience to help others in making informed decisions. With that in mind, please be responsible, truthful and helpful in presenting your reviews. Your reviews may help other Community members in making their respective decisions, in the same way that the reviews and ratings of others may shape the decision you’re making on the particular subject matter of the entry.

Rate and/or review the subject matter of the entries, not the manner by which the entry is presented. As to other reviews, please remember that each one is entitled to an opinion. They have expressed their reviews. You’re also entitled to express your reviews on the SUBJECT of the entry.

Reviews are presented in chronological order, so be sure to scroll down to check the latest reviews.

The review form, which is found at the bottom of each post, is visible only to logged in Community members. You must be logged in to review or rate an entry. Avoid foul and intemperate language because it’s of no help to the rest of the Community. One-lines are discouraged to have meaningful reviews. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions.

2. How to Rate an Entry.

Login is required to make a rating. If you’re not logged in, the stars are static and can’t be clicked and the “submit” button is not visible (the same thing happens after you’ve voted for an item). Rate the subject matter of the entries, not the manner by which the entry is presented. Please use this responsibility and re-evaluate your choices BEFORE hitting the “submit” button. Ratings are also broken down into components. The “submit’ button won’t work unless all components are rated. Each component that makes up (or reduces) the overall rating, as well as certain aspects that are not captured in the rating components, should be included in the reviews.

3. For owners or managers of reviewed entries.

If an entry is already existent, let us know if there is any helpful information that you want to add. We may or may not include the information, but you can always add the same through the review section. We recommend that you take time to follow the reviews so you could immediately reply or act, when needed.

4. How to submit a subject/item for review?

If the product, service or item of Philippine travel is not yet reviewed, feel free to suggest its inclusion. A representative photo of the subject/item, as well as other helpful information (short description, location, contact details, fees, etc.), is required. You must be authorized to share the photo as it will used in public.

5. Submitting an entry in the Calendar.

You can submit an event, festival or entry in the Calendar. The full details of the entry will appear upon mouse-over. Clicking the calendar entry brings the user to the appropriate page or link provided. Simply send the details (name of entry, short description, date and time of schedule, link if there’s a page for it). You might as well send an entry for review.

6. Why and how do I sign up or register?

To maintain a degree of responsibility on the reviews, Community members must be registered and logged in. This is required in order to make reviews, rate entries, directly communicate and build your network with other Community members.

The “register” tab is found at the top menu. Simply click it and fill in the form. Enter the captcha (to deter spam registrations) and you’re done. Your login details will be emailed to you, so be sure that you have access to the email provided (but for any reason you didn’t receive the email, you can still login using the details you used). Keep your login details (username and password) confidential. Please note that your username is permanent and you can use an email only once. Log out every time you finish interacting with the Community.

7. How to log in or change password/other account details?

The login link is found under the “Account” menu tab at the top of this site. Hover your cursor over “Account” and the drop down menu will appear. Click on “login”. You could also access the other functions of your account in the same manner.

To change your password and other account details, click on the “Account” menu tab at the top of this site. It has other sub-menus (“login”, “inbox”, “profile”, “friends” and “activity”), but don’t click on the sub-menus. Click on the main “Account” menu tab. There you can change the password and other account details.
