Fort Santiago in Intramuros
Fort Santiago, part of the walled city of Intramuros, is a fortress built for the Spanish conquistador, Miguel López de Legazpi. A single passageway, flanked by moats on both sides, leads to the main entrance. It provides an excellent defensive position along the Pasig River, the main artery going inland from the Manila Bay.
