Spiral Restaurant
Well-known for its great-tasting international cuisine served buffet-style. The website of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila characterizes “Spiral” in this manner: “Manila’s most fashionable eatery is a concept restaurant with multi-cuisine open cooking stations. Indoor and outdoor environments blend beautifully in the spacious, natural setting.” Rate (above) and review (below) the Spiral Restaurant. Or see the Brochure for more details (e.g., location, contact details, menu and price list).
Waiting taught us to make a reservation when going to Spiral. Make a surprise visit and, chances are, you’ll get surprised, languishing in the wait-list like us. This brings us to the downsides of Spiral — it is almost always loaded, especially during weekends, and it’s a bit pricey, at more than P2,000 per head. The solution? Make a reservation (it’s not that you would mind, as you could wait in Hotel Sofitel’s splendid poolside area) and, with respect to the price, get the coupon discounts which offer as much as 50% off on the price.
That being said, Spiral offers a marvelous and delicious buffet, the biggest and arguably the best in town. Nice ambiance. Professional and warm staff. Great food. Wide selection. A great experience. A bit expensive, but worth every cent. Click here to see more photos and read the entire article.
“Spiral Restaurant at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel in Manila arguably offers the best and most extensive multi-cuisine buffet spread in the metro.” - Grace in Full Measure
“I would highly recommend the buffet at the Sofitel. I also experienced the buffet at the Makati Shangri La, which was nice, but not as impressive as Sofitel’s. Breakfast buffet was included with our room at the Sofitel. It was quality and quantity; after all the amount you eat is up to you.” - Friends Eat
“Simply the BEST BUFFET IN TOWN.” - Dencio.com
“Spiral is a multi-cuisine restaurant with the biggest buffet in town.” - Our Awesome Planet
“Food as far as the eye can see. How can this place NOT be among my favorites? Spiral cafe has what I believe to be the longest buffet line in the Philippines, bringing together cuisines from around the world into one magical place.” - The Pickiest Eater
