Shooting the Rapids
The Pagsanjan Falls is famous for its cascading clean waters, but also for the 2-hour shooting- the- rapids adventure trip. Tourists board a banca that looks like an oversized kayak made of fiberglass, manned by two boatmen, one in each end. The upstream trip requires the boatmen to lift the boat over obstacles, step/kick on rocks at the sides to navigate through rocks with less than an inch to spare, nimbly jump back inside the boat, and then paddle some more.
